That view is from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. There's basically one road in and one road out. It runs north to south from Jacob Lake to some of the most incredible views in the world.

Every winter, the road closes in December and doesn't reopen until mid-May. For months, the animals have free rein of the entire plateau. If you're lucky enough to visit in May, wildlife is everywhere. It's truly a sight to behold.

It got me thinking: How can we help conserve places like this? If we were billionaires, we'd simply buy vast tracts of land, place them in a trust, and protect them from future development. We want to ensure future generations have the same opportunity to experience this planet the way we have.

That's exactly what we're doing at Bromaad.

Eleven percent of gross profit, not net profit and there's no accounting trickery here, is being set aside. A portion of the 11 percent will be placed in a conservation fund, with the goal of purchasing woodland and protecting it from future development. We also have some exciting ideas for a kids' camp, but more on that later.

The other part of the 11 percent will be placed in various local forest and water conservation initiatives and projects. We plan to work with local mountain bike trail clubs to help build and maintain our local trail systems. Again, we are just trying to protect the places we enjoy visiting so much.
